The 2011 ACC tournament schedule and bracket has been released. The number one seed is the North Carolina Tar Heels who defeated the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday to take home the ACC crown.
While the Tar Heels lost to the Dayton Flyers in the NIT tournament final last season, this year has been a much bigger success.
Boston College looks to secure a bid to the NCAA tournament. ESPN bracketologist, Joe Lunardi, has the Golden Eagles pegged as one of his last four teams in the tournament this season. They should be in with a win but would do well to defeat Clemson if they can get by pesky Wake Forest in their first game.
The ACC looks to get at least four teams into the NCAA tournament and possibly five if Boston College steps up.
The four-day, loser-go-home tournament begins on Wednesday and ends on Sunday.
2011 ACC Conference Tournament
The conference tournament begins on Thursday this year, as usual. No major changes to either the venue or times will take place this season. Most games will be seen on ESPN2 or ESPN with some of the first round games being on the ACC network.

Bragging rights and, more importantly, an invitation to the Big Dance will be up for grabs when the 2010 ACC Conference Tournament tips March 11-14 in Greensboro, NC. Some of the nation's best teams will be on hand Duke, Boston College, Clemson, for example looking to start March Madness off on the right foot.
While most people prefer a North Carolina-Duke finals, they will most likely not get their wish this year. After all, North Carolina will be an underdog in their first round game and in any subsequent games should they make it that far.
